DPIIT has partnered with FICCI and Mercedes-Benz India to support promising startups with mentorship, industry connections, and commercialization opportunities.

In a significant boost for India's grassroots entrepreneurial landscape, the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT) has partnered with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) and Mercedes-Benz India to launch the Bharat Innovation Challenge.

This collaborative initiative is designed to identify, mentor, and scale promising startups working on advanced technologies, offering them a direct pathway to commercialization.

Driving Commercialization and Industry Access

The Bharat Innovation Challenge addresses one of the most critical hurdles for early-stage ventures: market access. Key offerings of the challenge include: 1. Global Mentorship: Selected founders will receive direct engineering and business mentorship from industry leaders, including specialists at Mercedes-Benz. 2. Commercialization Pathways: Startups will gain opportunities to pilot their products within the global supply chains of the partner corporations. 3. Venture Capital Connections: Demodays will connect participants with leading domestic and international institutional investors.
