The program, headquartered in Bengaluru's Koramangala tech corridor, will operate as a structured 16-week technical accelerator combining hands-on engineering mentorship, dedicated GPU compute grants and direct access to Bessemer's global portfolio network spanning over 200 enterprise technology companies.

Program Structure and Strategic Vision

Bessemer Tech Catalyst is explicitly positioned not as a traditional accelerator focused on pitch coaching and fundraising optics, but as an engineering-first program targeting deep technical de-risking. Selected startups will work alongside senior engineers from Bessemer's portfolio companies — including Twilio, Shopify, Toast and Wiz — to solve concrete AI infrastructure, deployment and scaling challenges.

India's AI startup ecosystem doesn't need more slide decks — it needs more shipping engineers solving hard problems,
said Vishal Gupta, Partner at Bessemer Venture Partners and head of the India practice. "Tech Catalyst is designed to compress 18 months of engineering iteration into 16 weeks by pairing founders with engineers who have already scaled AI systems to millions of users."

The initiative launches with an inaugural cohort of 12 startups, selected from over 400 applications received in the first 30 days of the program's announcement.
