Startup Summit in Kashmir Showcases Next Generation of Innovators

Young founders pitch breakthrough ideas while connecting with investors and government agencies.

The inaugural Kashmir Global Innovation Summit 2026, held in Srinagar, brought together over 1,200 founders, venture capitalists, and government policymakers. The summit showcased breakthrough innovations from Jammu & Kashmir's burgeoning startup community, spanning saffron supply chain traceability, IoT-enabled horticulture, cold-chain logistics, and handicrafts e-commerce platforms.

During the two-day event, more than 45 high-potential startups pitched live on stage to prominent angel networks and institutional VC funds from Bengaluru, Delhi-NCR, and Mumbai.

Government Support & Regional Venture Funds

The Union Territory administration announced a new ₹250 Crore J&K Venture Capital Fund, managed in partnership with SIDBI. The fund will provide seed and pre-Series A capital to technology ventures originating from Kashmir and Jammu universities.
