The Government of Andhra Pradesh has unveiled a visionary multi-billion-dollar industrial masterplan aimed at establishing Amaravati as India's premier deep-tech capital. The state is creating dedicated, state-of-the-art physical and regulatory corridors specifically engineered for artificial intelligence research, autonomous robotics fabrication, quantum computing laboratories, and advanced materials engineering.

Designed to decentralize India’s tech concentration away from legacy metro hubs like Bengaluru and Hyderabad, the Amaravati Deep-Tech Initiative offers comprehensive fiscal incentives, subsidized green energy tariffs, plug-and-play prototyping labs, and accelerated regulatory sandboxes for frontier engineering ventures.

A City Engineered for 21st-Century Frontier Research

Unlike existing brownfield tech clusters burdened by severe urban congestion and power constraints, Amaravati’s greenfield masterplan incorporates dedicated high-capacity fiber grids, 100% renewable power infrastructure, and integrated research zones connected to premier academic institutions.

The state government has allocated over 1,500 acres within the capital region for the Amaravati Deep-Tech Valley, partnering with global tech leaders and domestic research organizations to construct shared cleanrooms, supercomputing clusters, and testing ranges for autonomous aerial and ground robotics.

Amaravati represents a blank canvas where the future of global technology will be built,

said Nara Lokesh, Minister for IT, Electronics & Communications, Government of Andhra Pradesh. "We are not building another generic IT services cluster. Amaravati is purpose-engineered for deeptech founders who need high-voltage power grids, high-density quantum testbeds, cleanrooms, and progressive governance that moves at the speed of innovation."

The policy roadmap builds upon competitive state innovation frameworks like Karnataka's updated startup policy while drawing inspiration from deeptech summits such as the Bengaluru Nano and Deeptech Summit.

Additionally, the state has announced a ₹500 Crore Amaravati Deeptech Seed Fund managed in partnership with leading institutional venture capital firms. The fund will provide non-dilutive prototype grants of up to ₹50 lakh for academic spinoffs and matching equity co-investments for Series A deeptech startups relocating their core engineering headquarters to the Amaravati Valley.
