CHENNAI — In a major strategic policy initiative to cement its status as India's premier industrial and hardware innovation capital, the Government of Tamil Nadu, through its nodal agency StartupTN, has officially launched a dedicated ₹50 Crore ($6 million) AI & Deep-Tech Seed Fund.The newly instituted fund is designed to solve the acute 'valley of death' faced by early-stage deep-tech ventures—where extensive research and development cycles, expensive prototyping hardware, and long patent gestation periods often deter conventional consumer venture capitalists.
